Description
Akkermansia muciniphila is naturally present in the mucosal layer of the intestine. In this formula it is combined with 9 strains of lactic acid bacteria (Lactobacillus, Bifidobacterium, Enterococcus) and a prebiotic (inulin), on a base of fermented soy with vitamin K and isoflavones. The product is directed at adults interested in the presence of Akkermansia muciniphila and diverse bacterial strains in one formula. Enteric-coated capsules protect the ingredients from stomach acid.
Ingredients
Akkermansia muciniphila (1×109 AFU) is a pasteurised bacterium from the Verrucomicrobia group, present in the human gastrointestinal tract. EFSA assessed its safety as part of the Novel Food procedure (Reg. (EU) 2022/168).
A complex of 9 lactic acid bacterial strains (9×108 CFU) comprises bacteria from the genera Lactobacillus, Bifidobacterium and Enterococcus, naturally present in fermented food products. The formula also contains inulin (360 mg), a natural soluble fibre from chicory root.
Dried non-GMO natto (200 mg) is the foundation of the entire formula. It is a traditional Japanese fermented soy product, naturally rich in vitamin K (in the K2 MK-7 form) and isoflavones.
Each enteric-coated capsule delivers 10 different bacterial strains (1× Akkermansia + 9 lactic acid strains) on a base of organic fermented soy.
Who is this product for
The product is for adults (excluding people under 18 years of age and pregnant and breastfeeding women):

- following a plant-based diet (formula is 100% vegan, cellulose capsule)
- who prefer a product in an enteric-coated capsule (better protection of ingredients from stomach acid)
Contraindications and warnings

Quality and origin
The base of the product is fresh organic natto. The producer makes it in Poland from organic soy (non-GMO) using the traditional fermentation method with Bacillus subtilis Natto bacteria.
The fresh natto then undergoes a patented low-temperature convection drying process (Polish Patent Office (UPRP) No. PL 237235). This technology was developed by the producer in 2017–2018 in collaboration with the Lubuskie Centre for Innovation and Agrotechnical Implementation (LOIiWA).
Only after drying and milling does the producer add the functional ingredients (Akkermansia muciniphila, lactic acid bacterial strains, inulin) to the dried natto. This is why the finished product does not hold an organic certificate, even though its base is organic natto.
EFSA confirmed the safety of pasteurised A. muciniphila as part of the Novel Food procedure, before it was placed on the EU market.
