ENGINEERING PRECISION AND THE JAPANESE SECRET TO LONGEVITY

We are a Green Mountain-based artisanal BIO Natto manufactory, where Polish engineering meets Japanese nature.

Every day we process limited and carefully selected batches of raw organic soybeans. Behind the brand is a particular man, engineer Marek Kolodziejski. His path to natto production was no accident. It was the result of 40 years of technical experience and the most important battle he faced – the fight for his own health.


The roots of precision. Why TON COLOR?

Many customers ask about the company’s name, which is TON COLOR. It is a valuable reminder of our engineering past. Marek Kolodziejski ran a well-known consumer electronics and home appliances service in Zielona Gora for 40 years. For decades we repaired precision electronics, televisions and computers. This work taught us absolute patience and accuracy.

As we closed that chapter, the founder’s engineering soul was transferred to the field of biotechnology. The same attention to detail and technical precision that our service was famous for is the basis of natto production today. We treat Bacillus subtilis bacteria with the same attention we once gave to integrated circuits. There is no room for error here.


Turning Point. From diagnosis to mission

Everything changed when Marek Kolodziejski turned 50. A routine visit to the doctor brought a difficult diagnosis involving diabetes, atherosclerosis and hypertension. The prospect of taking a handful of medications for life was unacceptable to the active engineer. He immediately began looking for alternatives.

“I had to buy a lot of pills on prescription. I didn’t want to deal with that, so I started looking for other solutions from natural healing sources. That’s when I came across the trail of Japanese natto. The beginnings weren’t easy, as the appearance and peculiar smell can scare people away, but it got better every day. And most importantly, it just worked! We just had to understand the fermentation process and break it down. We don’t experiment on customers’ health.”

Upon discovering natto and testing it on myself, the significant improvement in results became a spur to action. The body was returning to balance, energy for cycling returned, and cardiovascular results positively surprised the attending physicians.


Production startup and scientific development (2015-2018)

Engineer Kolodziejski’s personal experience has become the foundation of our company. We started the official production of NATTO in 2015. We preceded this step with six months of intensive preparation, experience and research at the Lubuskie Center for Agrotechnical Innovation and Implementation in Sulechów (LOIiWA). We wanted to make sure that we offered a safe and effective product.

We verify product quality with science, not marketing. Here are the key milestones of our development:

Technology Research (2017-2018)

Our quality is based on 2017 and 2018 studies conducted at LOIiWA. There we developed a pioneering drying technology. The research confirmed that the process fully preserves the health-promoting biologically active compounds. As a result, we have implemented a product innovation on a European scale.

Patented Method

Together with pharmacists from Wroclaw, Poland, we have developed a unique drying technology. Thanks to the precisely selected parameters of temperature and press pressure, our tablets retain what is most valuable, i.e. active nattokinase and vitamin K2 MK7.

Certified BIO Soybeans

We use only the original spores of Bacillus Subtilis Natto to produce Natto. The quality of natto depends on the quality of the grain, so we only use non-GMO and pesticide-free soybeans (PL-EKO Certificate). We import certified organic soybeans of the highest quality, as the Polish climate is not conducive to the cultivation of suitable varieties.

Our efforts for uncompromising quality are confirmed by the 1st Economic Award of the Marshal of the Lubuskie Region in the innovation category.

We are constantly learning and going back to our sources. Since NATTO is a traditional Japanese product, it is all the more gratifying that our product has met with appreciation from customers coming from Asia. However, we wanted to confirm it with the masters.

In the fall of 2025, we participated in a prestigious economic mission to Japan. During the Polish Japanese Investment Forum in Osaka and numerous meetings with local fermentation experts, we exchanged experiences and verified our processes. We returned from Japan confident that our natto is not inferior in quality to products made in the country of the Cherry Blossom.
